’80s Kitchen Makeover

The best feature in this 80’s kitchen was ‘space’ and this kitchen had plenty of it but it needed a new look.

Out With The Old

The brick work was well done and showed excellent craftsmanship but the style was outdated so the homeowner opted to have the brick removed.

Creating Light

We wanted to open up the eating area and let in more light from outdoors. We choose two sets of garden doors which also allow for easy access to a cedar deck and gorgeous sunroom.

Enhancing Workflow

Creating a large eating island and a separate prep island would enhance the flow of this very large space. The single challenge was to ensure the large piece of Caesarstone would have proper support. Circular stainless steel pillars were used to support the stone and the prep island was supported with two rectangular pillars to tie the look together.

The Details

Dark cherry cabinetry, granite counter tops, heated porcelain tile floors and high-end stainless appliances would ensure this kitchen is functional and stylish for all occasions. For an extra touch of elegance, a gas fireplace is installed on the bank of cabinetry that runs from the 12 ft ceilings and wall to wall.
